2016 was fabulous. I remember being back and forth

2016 was fabulous. I remember being back and forth to NYC every two months. These were the only 2016 photos on my current phone - but tell a great story. 🥰

Photo 1-2: A memorable night with @caitlyn.squires (who took the first photo) where we went to three holiday parties in one night. This party was held in a loft for @fairmonthotels (hence the plain bathroom)and we were gifted two king sized pillows (one of which I still use to this day. Maybe I shouldn’t? 😬). I still have those @dior shoes

Photo 3: Managed to sell 400 books to this small business (at the time) @packedparty and they scored @glamourmag feature.

Photo 4: Was in a spread for LouLou Magazine and @loreal.canada just before heading to Paris (Photo 5 -6) with a photoshoot with @paris_photographer

Photo 7-8: With some help from @sarahscheurich I got a meeting with @mkhid (founder of @hugimals) over @cosmopolitan and a chat with a lady from @oprahdaily mag. Years later I would write a piece for @cosmopolitanuk The exact architecture of how I got the meeting is one for the books and is shared only in person. ✨

Photo 9: @cookievonstercookies baked me cookies to gift the @marcjacobs and @thebookmarc bookstore crew.

Photo 10: I was sitting at my desk at the hospital when this tweet came through - @nasdaq had put my photo up on their billboard for a campaign in Times Square. 💫

For the holiday issue, a Christmas brunch table styled with a mix of old and new.

Pieces from my mom’s late 70s/80s crystal collection layered with gold cutlery, travel finds like Venetian glass Christmas trees and bronze bowls from India, and added handmade details like the cranberry tea light holders and orange/clove pomanders.

On the table: Crisp potato stacks, roasted carrots with kale, Cornish hens, and wild rice.
 ✨ Warm, familiar, and exactly how Christmas brunch should feel. ✨ 🥰 Merry Christmas to you and yours.
