I did not start travelling solo until my early 30s I did not start travelling solo until my early 30s. Even then, I focused on places I already knew or where I knew people, so I had gradually built confidence navigating and planning on my own. While getting to a destination has never been the difficult part for me, I have always enjoyed meeting people along the way. That is what drew me to NomadHer. NomadHer is a women-only travel community where members create a verified profile, find other women travelling to the same destination, connect and chat, share travel tips, and even organize their own meet-ups. Profiles are manually verified by the NomadHer team, creating an added layer of trust within the community. But the real magic happens when an online connection becomes a real-life one. During my three days in Jeollanam-do, I met women from different places and backgrounds, and I made a point of taking a photo with every woman on the trip. Looking back at those photographs, what stands out is not where we came from, but how quickly strangers can find common ground when you bring them together. The app made the introduction.
