WOW. This birthday soirée did not disappoint. The WOW. This birthday soirée did not disappoint. The food and service @collectivegoodsyvr was phenomenal (I suggest you go, if you have not been). Friends from Toronto and Powell River attended this year, which was a lovely surprise. Every year, I look forward to celebrating with the people I love. It brings me joy to bring people together from all aspects of my life. My friend commented at the end of the night, this is a group of people you can take to the end of the world. 2016 was fabulous. I remember being back and forth 2016 was fabulous. I remember being back and forth to NYC every two months. These were the only 2016 photos on my current phone - but tell a great story. 🥰 Photo 1-2: A memorable night with @caitlyn.squires (who took the first photo) where we went to three holiday parties in one night. This party was held in a loft for @fairmonthotels (hence the plain bathroom)and we were gifted two king sized pillows (one of which I still use to this day. Maybe I shouldn’t? 😬). I still have those @dior shoes Photo 3: Managed to sell 400 books to this small business (at the time) @packedparty and they scored @glamourmag feature. Photo 4: Was in a spread for LouLou Magazine and @loreal.canada just before heading to Paris (Photo 5 -6) with a photoshoot with @paris_photographer Photo 7-8: With some help from @sarahscheurich I got a meeting with @mkhid (founder of @hugimals) over @cosmopolitan and a chat with a lady from @oprahdaily mag. Years later I would write a piece for @cosmopolitanuk The exact architecture of how I got the meeting is one for the books and is shared only in person. ✨ Photo 9: @cookievonstercookies baked me cookies to gift the @marcjacobs and @thebookmarc bookstore crew. Photo 10: I was sitting at my desk at the hospital when this tweet came through - @nasdaq had put my photo up on their billboard for a campaign in Times Square. 💫 #thelovelist #2016 #nyc #paris #writersofinstagram
